Michell Skipworth

We all experience this journey of life in very unique ways, so it’s important to develop additional skills that help us achieve desired forms of wellness as we also learn to enjoy the sights and experiences around us. Together, we can develop new spirit and confidence that establishes calmness, clarity and trust in ourselves by using unique yoga techniques that encourage balance and relaxation, as the processes to a restorative state of mind and body.

 

Residing in Claremont, California, Michell Skipworth is the mom of 8 children and has been married for over 30 years. Drawing from the experiences of a career path that has included the stresses of being a 911 dispatcher to the schedules of being a flight attendant, and demands of raising a family. She found a home for her passion through wellness activities, and in time used the successes from achieving her own health and fitness goals to become a a certified Wellness Coach through the Integrative Wellness Academy. This formal learning was highly energizing for Michell, who also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

 

Michell began her yoga journey in 2008, and she quickly realized that yoga was much more than a typical workout. She immediately found that she enjoyed both the physical and mental benefits that the regular practice of yoga brought to her and to her family.

 

Wanting to learn more, Michell then completed her Yoga Alliance ERYT 200-hour professional teacher training. This program focuses on Vinyasa & Hatha practices, which continue to serve as the foundation of Michell’s programs. Since then, as she has continued her own education and study for wellness, Michell has also found an equally deep passion for sharing yoga with children. As a mother of eight children, this additional role of supporting young yoga learners has been very rewarding for Michell, and created new and innovative ways to present her programs to adults.

 

Michell is eager to be a part of your yoga journey and assist you as you pursue and achieve a new body balance and create lasting strength both physically and mentally.
